The Science

We use natural products which have known safety and are very well tolerated by the animals. They work by competing, or even eliminating, unwanted parasitic anaerobes that live, uninvited, in the rumen of the animals, and steal food that should be going to the animals for its well being, not that of the thieving anaerobes! 

It is claimed by others that their inhibitor acts on an enzyme. Ours acts on both the methanogenic pathways and the skatole pathway.  Blocking by a single enzyme would not give as good a result as blocking all the pathways. There are three major pathways for methanogenesis, so it is complicated.

The substrates for methanogenesis are: formate, methanol, carbon dioxide, and acetic acid. Protons are needed to complete the reactions. Our actives work in two main ways. They deprive the methanogens of the free protons they need and they also take the substrates mentioned above and loads them onto carriers for conveyance to the gut wall. There the substrate are passed into the bloodstream and used by the animals for their own nutrition. Thus, the anaerobes are deprived of protons and substrates.

That;s why there is increased production of meat and milk when our products are given to livestock in minute quantities. 

the dosage is 2 mg per kg of live weight at a frequency of between one week and one month. It can be delivered by drenching using water as the drenching fluid, or dissolved in the animals' drinking water, or added to their feed.
