Skatole (Boar stink)
Skatole is the foul smell of faeces. The smell is produced by certain microorganisms in the animal's gut, and it permeates the animal's milk, fat and meat.
Many countries don't like animal products that smell bad, so getting rid of it has been an object of research for many years.
